Thank you very much for your continued support of The Japanese Association, Singapore.
We are pleased to inform you that, as part of the commemorative events marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore, Game 1 of the Best-of-Five Match of the 11th Eiō Title Match, an official professional shogi title match, will be held at The Japanese Association, Singapore.
The Eiō title is one of the eight major titles in the professional shogi world, representing the pinnacle of the game. This will be a rare and prestigious official match held overseas.

Date: Friday, April 3
Match: Game 1, 11th Eiō Title Match (Best-of-Five Series)
Venue: The Japanese Association, Singapore
Further details regarding the schedule on the day will be announced once confirmed.

Large-Board Commentary Event – Ticket Sales
On the day of the match, a large-board commentary session will be held at the JAS Auditorium (3F).
Tickets for this event have been available for purchase on the official Japan Shogi Association website since Monday, February 16.

Large-Board Commentary Event – Complimentary Tickets for Members

On the day of the event, a live commentary will be held in the Japanese Association Auditorium (3rd floor). As the number of tickets is limited, we will accept online applications through our membership Online system.

• Application period: Friday February 27th at 12:00 to Sunday March 8^that 23:59 PM.
  If we receive a large number of applications, we may close the application early.

  "Member Login" ⇒ "Course/Event Application / Event Booking" ⇒ "Event" and proceed to " EIO Title Match Large-Board Commentary Event-Complimentary Tickets" to apply. After completing your application, you will receive a notification email stating that “Your application has been accepted as waiting number”. Please note that at this point, receipt of the invitation ticket has not been confirmed
• Application restrictions:

1. 1)JAS members only, primary school students and above
2. 2)Non-transferable and prohibition of resale. The complimentary ticket only assigned specifically to one named individual and you are not allowed to transfer the ticket to a third party (We will verify your identity when you enter the auditorium).

In addition, members who are eligible for the invitation tickets will be contacted directly by our association by March 11th. If selected, please ensure you can attend the event. We look forward to receiving your applications.
