◆ Design of the Charity Draw Original Tote Bags

The student volunteer group, which began its activities last year, has designed the original Charity Draw tote bags.

Five student volunteers took part in the tote bag design project, and two designs were selected. Each student brought their own ideas and individuality to the designs, expressing their thoughts and appreciation for both Japan and Singapore.

One design expresses the connection between Japan and Singapore and the spirit of thoughtfulness and caring for others, while the other draws inspiration from Singapore’s natural environment. Each design reflects the students’ unique perspectives and the genuine feelings they developed through their volunteer activities.

• A design featuring the Oriental Pied Hornbill, a familiar bird in Singapore known for its distinctive yellow beak.

• A design featuring a crane and an otter, symbolising the friendship between Singapore and Japan.

Both are generously sized A3 canvas tote bags, perfect as a sub-bag, for shopping, or as a special memento of your life in Singapore.

We hope you will enjoy these unique tote bags created by our student volunteers and support their charitable initiative.

◆ Charity Draw Original Tote Bags to Be Sold at the SJ60 Japanese Association Open House

At the SJ60 Japanese Association Open House on Saturday, 12 September, we will have a Charity Draw ticket sales booth.

As a special gift, those who purchase five Charity Draw tickets will receive a lovely gift pack of snacks generously provided by Meiji.

On the day, we will also be selling the original Charity Draw tote bags designed by our student volunteers.

Proceeds from the tote bag sales, together with proceeds from the Charity Draw and Charity Bazaar, will be donated to social welfare organisations and other charitable causes in Singapore.
