We are pleased to inform you about the JAS Summer Festival 2025.
Once again, we have prepared a wide variety of exciting events, and we look forward to welcoming you!

Route: Tanah Merah MRT ⇄ Japanese School Primary Changi Campus
Operating Hours: 14:00 – 22:00 (approx. every 10 minutes)
First bus from Tanah Merah MRT: 14:00
Last bus from Japanese School: 22:00
Please Note:
- There is no parking available at or near Tanah Merah MRT.
- JSS parking is restricted to event staff and vendors only.

◆Stage Performances◆
Time: 16:00 – 18:00
Location: Main Ground (Yagura Tower)
Details: Enjoy dynamic performances by 12 selected groups. Let’s cheer them on together!
◆Festival Booths◆
Time: From 15:00
Location: Block 1–4 & Entrance
Details: A total of 45 booths will be set up, featuring shops you visit regularly as well as those you’ve always wanted to try. Please check the link for details of the booths. We look forward to seeing you at the festival!

◆Game Corner◆
Time: 15:00 – 19:00
Location: Left side of the Ground
Details: Experience the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese festival! We will have Shateki (rifle shooting), Senbonbiki (lucky string pull), Speed Lottery, and Puka Puka Scooping (Scooping Floating Toys). A wide variety of popular festival prizes will be available, and every game guarantees a prize—no blanks! Come and join the fun with your family and friends!

◆Bon Odori Dance◆
Time: 19:30 – 21:00
Location: Main Ground (Yagura Tower)
Details: Join hands in a circle and dance a total of 10 Bon Odori songs. We will conclude with our association’s proud signature piece, the “Singapore Ondo.” Let’s create wonderful memories together!
◆Taiko Drum Performances◆
Times & Locations:
15:00 – 15:15 (Entrance)
15:30 – 15:50 (Main Ground, Yagura Tower)
Details: Enjoy the powerful Taiko drum performances by Hibikiya, presented from the entrance area and from the Yagura tower at the center of the main ground. Experience the vibrant sound of Japanese Taiko in the tropical setting!
◆Yukata & Happi Sale and Dressing Service◆
Time: 15:00 – 17:30
Location: Block B
Details: We will be offering second-hand Yukata sets for men and women, brand-new Happi coats, and Yukata dressing services. Dress in a Yukata or Happi and enjoy the Summer Festival to the fullest!
Item B (Yukata Dressing Service only), please bring your own Obi belt. Waist ties (2-piece set @$2) are sold separately.
All second-hand Yukata have been professionally cleaned for your comfort. This is a special offer for this year only.
◆Caricature Corner◆
Time: From 15:00
Location: Entrance
Details: Veteran manga artist Seiji Iwami, known for his 4-panel comics and caricatures, will be joining us! Active both in Japan and overseas, his humorous and expressive style has captivated many fans. His live caricatures, drawn on the spot, are extremely popular, and original goods will also be available for purchase at the venue. Take home a one-of-a-kind caricature as a wonderful keepsake!

◆Charity Draw◆
Ticket Sales Start: 15:00
Draw Time: 18:00
Location: Entrance
Details: We will be holding the final ticket sales and draw for the Charity Draw organized by the JAS Social Contribution Committee, which began on 1 July this year. Once again, we have received generous donations from many companies, organizations, and individuals in Singapore. All proceeds will be donated to volunteer organizations in Singapore through the Singapore Community Chest. We invite you to join us in supporting the final day of ticket sales and the draw!
◆MCs for the Evening ◆
This year’s Summer Festival MCs will be Ryna Smile and Lim Marcus.
They will liven up the venue together with everyone, so please look forward to it!
Ryna Smile – Singer, actress, and voice trainer. Debuted on the CD of the anime The Prince of Tennis, and has appeared in commercials, stage plays, and national events.
Lim Marcus – Former Japanese language teacher, fluent in English, Japanese, and Chinese. His favorite sayings are "Hibi Shoujin" (daily self-improvement), "Nanakorobi Yaoki" (fall seven times, stand up eight), and "Juunin Toiro" (ten people, ten colors).

Photos and videos taken on the day of the event may be posted on the Japanese Association's official Facebook and Instagram accounts, website, and newsletter ‘Southern Cross.’ Please be aware of this in advance.

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all those participating in the Summer Festival, we request our guests to comply with the following:
Checking of belongings upon entry
To ensure the safety of our guests, there will be a security check of belongings conducted upon entry. We thank you for your understanding.
Refusal of Entry
**Tickets will not be refunded to guests who are refused entry.
The following guests will be refused entry:
・ Guests who have been refused entry by the Japanese Association Summer Festival Committee
・ Guests who are unable to present the admission ticket
・ Guests who do not cooperate with security checks upon entry
・ Guests who are intoxicated from consuming alcohol
Prohibited items
**The following items, if found during the security check, will have to be disposed of before entry:
・ Firearms, swords, fireworks, firecrackers, drugs, and other dangerous items.
・ Any items that may cause disturbance to other guests (i.e. items with a strong odour, items that cause noise pollution, etc.)
・ Alcohol
・ Goods for sale that are not approved by the Summer Festival Committee
・ Pets are also prohibited from entry.
Prohibited behaviour
・ Violent behaviour (use of violence, vulgarities, intimidation, extortion, etc.)
・ Destruction and damage of facilities / equipment
・ Entry to prohibited areas
・ Use of playground equipment
・ Climbing on and/or over the fences, handrails, nets, etc.
・ Selling of goods, distribution of flyers and surveys without the approval of the organisers
・ Causing noise pollution and disturbance
・ Use of flash photography, or any beaming of light, etc. that may interfere with or cause disturbance to the programme
・ Any behaviour that the organiser decide may interfere with the progress and management of the event
・ Any behaviour that the organiser decide may pose danger to, and/ or cause disturbance to, other guests
・ Delivery and accepting of items bought on the internet (Items will be confiscated)
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited within the event grounds. There are however
smoking areas located outside the school or at the east exit.
Re-entry
・ Re-entry guests will go through another security check of belongings
※Guests who are found to have violated any of the rules will be requested to leave immediately under instructions of the authorised staff/volunteers.
