【Culture Comm】 Announcement: SJ60 JAS Renewal Celebration Event – Introductory to Classical Violin Concert and Post-event social gathering ~Culture Committee~
In celebration of the upcoming JAS Renewal Event on November 22 and 23, We are pleased to announce an Introductory to Classical Violin Concert by Sayaka Kagei, First Violinist of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic classical music.
Classical Violin Concert
Date & Time: Sunday, October 19, 14:00~ (Doors open at 13:30)
Venue: Japanese Association Auditorium (3rd Floor)
Admission Fee: $10.00 + GST
Capacity: 170 participants
Eligibility: Japanese Association members (ages 4 and above)

Applications open from Wednesday, September 10, 9:00 and close on Sunday, October 12.
Online Registration Steps:
Log in to the member portal → Select "Event Booking" → Select "Event" → Choose “Introductory to Classical Violin Concert” to complete your registration.
Cancellation: Cancellations can be made via the online system until October 12.
Notes for Attendees:
- Please present your Japanese Association membership card at the reception.
- Smart casual attire is recommended.
- Children under 12 year’s old age without a parent/guardian present are not permitted.
- If a child becomes disruptive, staff may ask you to temporarily step out of the auditorium to avoid disturbing others.
- Eating and drinking are not allowed in the auditorium.
After-Concert Reception
Following the concert, we are delighted to invite you to an After-Concert Reception with Ms.Sayaka Kagei.
This is a rare opportunity to speak directly with a professional musician and ask questions about music in a relaxed setting.
Participation only in the reception is also warmly welcome.
We encourage you to take this chance to enjoy interacting with a professional musician.
You may also seek advice regarding your children’s music education.

- Fee: $20 + GST per person (same for adults and children)

~Performer Profile~
Sayaka Kagei
Studied at Tokyo University of the Arts High School and Tokyo University of the Arts. Upon graduation from Tokyo University of the Arts, Sayaka received the Acanthus Music Award.
Sayaka participated in the Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy Okushiga , and the Opera Academy by Riccardo Muti. Apprenticeship under Chua Lik Wuk and Yasuko Otani. Currently plays the first violin at the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.
