4月30日（土）こどもの日パーティーがボールルームで開催され、250人以上の参加者が端午の節句をお祝いしました。会友部の Ian Gan部長のご挨拶に始まり「こいのぼり」の歌を元気に歌った後、日本人会「絵本と紙芝居の会」による紙芝居やダンスを楽しみました。また笑福亭笑子さんによる腹話術のパフォーマンスもおこなわれ、子どもたちはかわいいスティッカ―を貼ったかぶとを作り、とてもうれしそうにかぶっていました。最後に皆で柏餅を食べ、そしてお菓子を笑顔で持ち帰りました。 Some 250 children and parents celebrated the Boys' Festival at the Children's Day Party organised by the Associate Committee on 30 April (Sat). Following a speech from Vice Chairman of the Associate Committee, Mr Ian Gan, Koinobori was sung and the party was kicked off! The children had a great time playing fun games and dancing at the Ballroom. They were treated to a picture story show by the JAS Picture Story-telling group and an astonishing ventriloquism performance by Ms Showko. Another highlight of the day was making their own kabuto (samurai helmet) personalised with cute cartoon stickers! At the end of the programme, everyone enjoyed kashiwa mochi and went home smiling from ear to ear. |
