チンゲイパレード2009に出場した日本人会チームは3月3日、MICA（情報通信芸術省）ビルで行なわれたチンゲイパレード表彰授与式でBest in Audience Engagement賞を授与されました。

この表彰式は人民協会（PA）が主催し、リム・ブーンヘン大臣が主賓として臨席され、200名を越す招待者が集う、盛大な催しでした。

チンゲイパレード出場チームのパフォーマンスに対するコンテスト、表彰は今年はじめて行なわれたもので、下記の4つの大賞がそれぞれの団体に贈られました。

今年のチンゲイパレードは約50の出場チームがありましたが、日本人会チームは出場者数が350人で、最大人数、大きな存在感を示しました。日本人会は2003年以来毎年チンゲイパレードに出場し、今年の出場は7回目となりました。7年間毎回日本人会が最も力を入れてきたのは観客と共に楽しむ、いわば交流です。その意味からも私たちの努力が高い評価を得て、Best in Audience Engagement（観客交流最優秀賞）を授与されたのはたいへん名誉なこととチンゲイパレード実行委員会、出場者、ボランティアの方々一同喜んでいます。

Japanese Association's contingent, which participated in Chingay Parade 2009, was awarded with the "Best in Audience Engagement" award at the Chingay Parade Awards prize presentation held at MICA building on 3 March. Over 200 people attended the grand prize-giving ceremony, which was organized by the People's Association (PA) and graced by Minister Lim Boon Heng. This is the first time participating organizations in Chingay Parade were being judged for their performances and presented with competition awards. The 4 awards were presented to the respective organizations.(see above) JAS's contingent made its strong presence felt among the 50 over participating organizations this year as the biggest contingent with 350 performers. The association has been taking part in the Chingay Parade since 2003 and this year marked its 7th performance. All these years of participation, JAS has placed the most emphasis on interaction and exchange with audience. The Chingay Parade Organising Committee, performers and volunteers are delighted to be highly acclaimed for the efforts and are most honoured to receive the 釘est in Audience Engagement・award.
